Roasted Muesli

I promise you, that it’s worth the small amount of Effort it takes to make your own Muesli. This Recipe gets asked after the most!

Be warned though, there is no turning back!

Almond, Fig and Olive Oil Muesli


300 g Oats

100 g roughly chopped Hazelnuts

100 g roughly chopped Almonds

50 g Sunflower Seeds

50 g Pumpkin Seeds

100 g dried Figs, roughly chopped

50 g  Olive Oil

30 g runny Honey (or more if you’d like it sweeter)

Good pinch of  Salt

1/3 tsp ground Cardamon

1/4 tsp  ground Cinnamon

1/4 tsp Nutmeg, grated

A couple grinds of Pepper


1. Preheat the oven to 160 degrees.

2. Mix all the Ingredients together in a Bowl, and spread thinly on a large Baking Tray. Bake for about 15 Minutes, or until the Nuts and Oats are a gorgeous gold brown colour. Stir the Muesli after every 5 Minutes to get an even roasting.

3. When the Muesli comes out the Oven, add the chopped figs and allow to cool. Store in an airtight Jar.

When making your own Muesli be creative with your Spices! Add Ginger, Cloves, All Spice, Star Anise.

Use up what’s in your Cupboard, Poppy Seeds, Linseed, Chia Seeds, Spelt Flakes and Coconut all make great additions to your Muesli.
